A story about a princess

Standard

Whilst painting this picture with paint/ice cubes, the child told me about the book she was making.  She explained that her picture was the book.  I asked her about the story and this is what she said…..

“Once upon a time there was a princess named Jana.  She lives in a castle in England.  One day a wold came.  He wanted to marry her.  Then she wanted to play.  The wolf wanted to play with her.

Then the prince came.  He said “why is the wolf here?”.

“I wanted to play and sing and marry the princess” (said the wolf).

Jana wanted to play.  They were playing beans.  The prince walked around the castle.

The princess really wanted to play but she didn’t.  The princess sat in the rocking chair.”

At this point the child stopped her story.  She said that she needed a ‘real book’.  I asked her if she would like to make one and her face lit up.  I am going to try and make some books for the children to explore their interest in writing.
